Desafio Solar is an annual rally of solar-powered boats which aims at stimulating the development of technologies linked to clean and alternative sources of energy. The event also seeks to promote the potential of these new technologies applied to passenger and recreational boats. Desafio Solar is an official event Rio de Janeiro’s Federal University (UFRJ) calendar and its master sponsor is energy company Ampla (Enel)/ Endesa Brasil.
